Panel 1: Ray stands on the sidewalk with his hands on a metal police barrier; the barriers have been set out along the street. There are two large graffiti-covered roll-down gates behind Ray and Sara. Sara starts to walk away as Ray says, "Ah, the Halloween parade; so many good memories... I assume you're running for a train before the streets get too busy..." Sara replies, "More of a light jog. Have a good night, Ray."

Panel 2: [A little later] Frances sits on Sara's stoop with her legs crossed, reading a book. As Sara arrives, she says "Hi, doll." Sara replies, "Frances! I thought we were meeting up... later? Like in a couple hours?"

Panel 3: Frances grabs Sara's hand and squeezes it, saying "Well, I knew you were going to be lame so we're just doing EARLY Halloween. This way I can go out for real later if I want."
