somebody's always in a hurry

Panel 1: The EMT and other woman talk as they hold the collapsed violin player's head up. The man in glasses next to Sara continues, "I see this guy all the time... like, I don't know him, but I'd be upset if he, like -- "

Panel 2: He finishes: " -- If he wasn't around anymore."

Panel 3: People are talking around the man: "EMT coming through!" "Sir, can you hear me?" "Yeah, checking." "OK, you ready to move him?" A woman sitting near the man with glasses says, "They say how long this is gonna take?" He replies, "I don't think so."

Panel 4: Sara turns to the man and asks, "Have you ever seen the guy who picks up cans?"

Panel 5: The violinist is being wheeled away on a gurney. Sara continues, "Well, and bottles. People call him the Can-Man."

Panel 6: The man answers, "Huh, no, I'm not familiar with him." The gurney is now outside the subway car.

Panel 7: He continues, "I -- uh -- I usually only ride this train in the Bronx though. Because -- um -- that's where I live...?"

Panel 8: He looks a bit flustered as he says, "I'm sorry. Today's... kind of weird... Oh -- we're moving!"

When I went to look for a link to this song an upcoming 2026 remaster came up, which this well deserves. And the release date is almost exactly when this comic will post, so let's pretend I planned this pairing for this date.
