Panel 1: Andrew leads Sara to the top of the staircase, where his apartment is, saying "C'mon in" as he opens the door. Sara wonders, "Why's he being so friendly?"

Panel 2: Sara looks around Andrew's apartment: there's wainscotting, bookshelves full of books, the dog sitting on a dog bed wagging his tail. The walls don't seem cracked and there isn't the general air of decrepitude that Sara's place has. Andrew's taken off his shoes. Sara says, "Well, this is nicer than my place."

Panel 3: Andrew answers, "Less turnover. I've been here forever. Your place -- it's a miracle if someone stays six months." Sara says, "Wonderful."

Panel 4: Andrew turns to Sara and says, "So, uh -- I know what happened with Kara." Sara says, "Ah, your girlfriend?"

Panel 5: Andrew stands in front of his open refrigerator (a full-sized one, not the dorm-room box Sara's apartment has), and pulls out a bottle of beer. He says, "No, definitely not! ... Though she may not say the same. Care for one?"

Panel 6: The two sit down on his couch, which is between bookshelves. Sara's taken a beer from him. She thinks to herself "Maybe the good mood's because he's drunk. He was such a dick before." Andrew says to her, "So, ok. Let me explain about Kara..."
