Panel 1: Sara stands, putting books from a bookshelf into a cardboard box. The box is way too big to actually fill up with books but that's her problem, not ours. There's a hot water radiator behind her. "I start packing when I get home."

Panel 2: She carries a box across a room. "Jen's stuff is already gone."

Panel 3: Another empty box, with a Ball jar, a book, and some tape next to it. "The landlady at the new place gave me no details at all..."

Panel 4: Sara continues packing, holding up the Ball jar which is full of pennies. "Not even her name. Since it's empty, can I move in... now? I'd have to come up with more rent."

Panel 5: Sara's packing stuff up in the kitchen. She holds a glass in one hand, has a roll of tape on her arm, and has a drawer open. The only things in the drawer are scissors and another roll of tape. There's a calendar featuring a gray cat on the wall open to October 2005. "I have a month."

Panel 6: [white text on a black background] "Everything in the current apartment feels depressing. I don't want to stay another month here... but I can't afford to pay for both."

Panel 7: A toothbrush holder holding two toothbrushes on a sink countertop in a tiled bathroom: "The only real sign of William is his toothbrush."

Panel 8: A close-up of said toothbrush: "In three-plus years, he hadn't been comfortable enough to leave anything else."

Panel 9: A garbage can in the corner of the bathroom; one of the toothbrushes is in it.
